
About the course
The Associate of Quranic Studies course is the start of a journey towards an in-depth study of the book of Allah. It will help students increase their appreciation and love for the Quran by equipping them with necessary tools to understand and engage with the Divine text more meaningfully. The course is accessible to all learners and no prior knowledge is required.
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) made this beautiful du’a:
“O Allah, make the Qur’an the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sorrows and the eliminator of my worries.” (Musnad Ahmad)
What you'll learn
The AQS curriculum is designed to introduce students to the various sciences of the Quran, with a special focus on Tafsir. Throughout the course, we will gain an understanding of the Quran through the following elements:
Uloom-ul-Quran (Sciences of the Quran)
Usool-e-Tafsir (Methodology of Exegesis)
Detailed Tafsir of Major Surahs
Basic Quranic Vocabulary
Fundamentals of Tajweed
Memorization of Short Surahs
Surahs covered in Tafsir include:
- Surah Fatiha 1
- Surah Yusuf 12
- Surah Kahf 18
- Surah Yasin 36
- Surah Hujurat 49
- Surah Rahman 55
- Surah Waqiah 56
- Surah Mulk 67
- Selected Surahs from the 30th Juz

The AQS curriculum is designed help you understand the language and the message of the book of Allah at the same time. Throughout the course of two years, we would aim to understand the Qur’an through following six elements:
- Quranic Arabic
- Usul e Tafsir
- Rhetoric (Balagha)
- Quranic exegesis of selected surah
- Fundamentals of Tajweed
- Quranic Vocabulary
- Prophetic Seerah
50% fee waiver to university students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelors Program. Financial Aid will also be available subject to proof of assets.
All amount charged will be used for work of Deen under Naseeha Institute.
