Maktab is a learning space that follows a thematic scheme of education. We meet our learners once a week to enrich their knowledge on the set theme for the term. We strive to create an environment that aims to nurture each child’s natural disposition (fitrah). Drawing from a diverse knowledge base, from Islamic texts to knowledge and understanding of the world around us, our meetings transcend the rigid subject areas and assessments, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and creativity.

Theme of the term: Shining Stars

Our first theme introduces learners to the Muslim role models from our legacy, starting with the Prophet Muhammad (SWS), and inspires us to celebrate and nurture the unique brilliance within each child, highlighting how their distinct personalities and potential make them shine. Additionally, learners will explore the creation and role of stars and constellations, as well as their historical significance for travelers.
