About the event

Sacred Hours

One Night Aitekaf

Why Is It Never Enough?

We chase success, wealth, recognition, relationships, and comfort—believing that the next achievement or possession will finally satisfy us. Yet even after reaching our goals, the feeling often remains: it still isn’t enough.

Why?

Islam teaches us that the human heart was created with a longing that nothing in this world can permanently fulfill. True contentment is not found in accumulating more, but in drawing closer to the One who created us.

Sacred Hours: Why Is It Never Enough? is a one-night spiritual retreat designed to explore the nature of human desire, the illusion of worldly fulfillment, and the path to lasting peace through faith. Through inspiring talks, meaningful reflection, and worship, participants will gain a deeper understanding of why the heart remains restless—and how the Qur’an and Sunnah offer the answer.

What We’ll Explore

  • Why worldly success never fully satisfies the heart
  • Understanding the nature of human desires (nafs)
  • The difference between temporary happiness and lasting contentment
  • How Shayṭān exploits our constant pursuit of “more”
  • The Qur’anic perspective on wealth, ambition, and success
  • Developing gratitude, contentment (qanā’ah), and trust in Allah
  • Practical steps toward living a purpose-driven life
